CURRENT ACADEMIC ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Dr. Satyanarayana is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Statistics and Data Science at the Prasanna School of Public Health, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal. He has over 10 years of teaching experience. He holds a Ph.D. from the Mangalore University and has cleared the KSET conducted by the University of Mysore. He handled courses such as Theory Sampling, Econometrics, Point Estimation, Data Mining Techniques, Time series Analysis, Multivariate Analysis and Data Science for M.Sc. Statistics Students. His area of interest lies in Statistical Inference, Econometrics, Data science, Time Series Analysis, Multivariate Analysis and Structural Equation Modelling etc. He is the Staff Sports Coordinator for Prasanna School of Public Health.
He received the Best Paper Award in Statistics and Data Science at the International Conference in 2018, was honored with the Dr. M.N. Gopalan Prize for the Best Research Paper by the Indian Society for Probability and Statistics (ISPS), Haryana, in 2018. Additionally, he is the recipient of the prestigious Prof. Aleyamma George Best Paper Award – 2024 organized by the International Statistical Fraternity (ISF), University of Kerala.
