Department of Applied Statistics and Data Science (DASDS), Prasanna School of Public Health (PSPH), Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal organised a Guest Talk on "Role of Data Assimilation in Prediction of Extreme Events using Numerical Weather Prediction Model " on Friday, February 21, 2025 (14:00 to 16:00 hours IST) in the R A Fisher Hall, DASDS, Level 5, Health Sciences Library Building, MAHE, Manipal.
Dr Kuvar Satya Singh (Assistant Professor Senior Grade 2, Centre for Disaster Mitigation and Management [CDMM], Department of Mathematics, School of Advanced Sciences, VIT [Vellore Institute of Technology] Vellore, India) was the resource person for the event.
This talk provided valuable insights and fostered engaging discussions. Faculty members, Students, and Research Scholars attended and participated actively.
