Guest Lecture on Public Speaking Skills

On 23rd August 2024, a guest lecture on public speaking skills for third-semester BSc nursing students by Dr. Toni Bewley, Adjunct Faculty from Edgehill University, UK, was conducted. The Department of Fundamentals of Nursing and Pillar 3: Expanding Reach and Internationalization coordinated the session.
Dr Toni conducted an interactive session with the students. First and foremost, the importance of public speaking was explained. The group was divided into small groups; discussion time was given, and each student was asked to come forward and speak. Then, the group was asked to discuss how the experience was and what could have been done to improve it. The students actively participated and learned the importance of public speaking in nursing.
A total of 105 students participated in the session. The session attributed to Sustainable Development Goal 4, Quality Education.
