The B.A. programme at DLHS covers Foundation Courses, Discipline Specific Core Courses, Discipline Specific Elective Courses, Specialization Courses, Generic/ Open-Elective (O.E.) Courses, Ability Enhancement Compulsory Courses (AECC), Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC), Skill-Based and Value-Based Courses, Vocational Courses, Internships/ Projects, and Research/ Dissertation.

The BA English Programme offers a contemporary, career-oriented approach to the humanities. Combining academic depth with industry relevance, the programme equips students with critical thinking, communication expertise, research skills, and professional confidence. Students majoring in English can elect minors in Psychology, Journalism and Mass Communication, Political Science, History, or Sociology, allowing them to build interdisciplinary strengths and tailor their learning to diverse career pathways. The curriculum features three specialization tracks—Language, Literature, and Industry, supported by flexible elective baskets. The unique Industry-focused courses, taught by experienced practitioners, introduce students to fields such as Corporate Communication, Editing and Publishing, and Translation Practice, ensuring real-world relevance. The program strongly emphasises project-based learning to enable students to graduate with a professional portfolio, while a credited internship component, guided by faculty and industry mentors, provides meaningful workplace exposure. The program integrates fieldwork and community engagement to foster socially aware, future-ready graduates prepared for careers and higher education alike.
