UG Chemical Engineering Students from MIT Manipal Win First Prize at ‘Paryavaran 2024’

Students from the undergraduate Chemical Engineering program at MIT Manipal have made their mark at the recently concluded “Paryavaran 2024” event, held at MS Ramaiah Institute, Bengaluru. Ms. Radhika Krishna B and Ms. Dona Aristo, both final-year students, along with Ms. Santusti Gour, a third-year student, won the first prize in the poster presentation category, earning a cash award of ₹10,000.
Their award-winning project, titled “Bioinspired Metal Organic Framework-Based Nanocomposites for Carbon Dioxide Reduction to Solar Fuels,” was praised for its innovative approach to converting carbon dioxide into solar fuels, a sustainable solution that addresses pressing environmental challenges. The project was developed at the VGST Centre of Excellence, funded by the Vision Group on Science and Technology (VGST), Government of Karnataka.
The achievement highlights the students' dedication and the high standard of research being conducted at MIT Manipal.
